Buying a recreational vehicle (RV) is ideal if you prefer to enjoy the outdoors without compromising on your comforts. You can still enjoy campfire evenings and sleep under the stars, knowing well that a comfortable bed, hot shower, kitchen, and food storage facilities are always within reach. There is enough space to bring your pets along and if you work remotely – to even set up a mobile office. RVs are a comfortable and safe way to travel, especially during a pandemic.
Whether you need to buy an RV for family camping trips or cross-country getaways with friends, Earlton VR-RV can help you find one that suits your needs.
Earlton VR-RV, one of the largest RV dealerships in northern Ontario, buys, sells, and services all types of RVs – from travel trailers to fifth wheels and more.
“We also provide a variety of RV services,” explains Valerie Burwell, the business manager (HR, finance & insurance) at Earlton VR-RV. “We have a full-service staff doing reconditioning and repairs. We also have an RV parts and accessories department,” she says.
Earlton VR-RV has been a Peninsula client since December 2021.
Valerie says Peninsula has helped them streamline their HR processes, develop company policies, employment contracts, handbooks, and other documentation. “We have 60 employees across three stores in northern Ontario. Having job contracts, policies, and documents in place makes employee management much easier.”
“We had policies in place previously as well, but they were not taken seriously. Following Peninsula’s advice, we now ask employees to acknowledge and sign off on company policies. So, it is on record they were informed and aware about company policies and procedures,” says Valerie.
Besides HR policies and documentation, Valerie says Peninsula has also helped them with employee management issues. “At one location, we had 12 employees threatening to leave unless we did something about the manager. We didn’t know how to manage such a situation and reached out to Peninsula. They helped us resolve it with good results.”
Valerie says Peninsula’s health & safety service has also been a big help. Besides a workplace COVID-19 policy and health & safety manual, Peninsula’s experts helped them be compliant by setting up a workplace health & safety committee. “We’re bringing in measures to guide staff on workplace hazards and health & safety. It is very important that our technicians are safe at work, and no one gets hurt,” she says.
The Peninsula Service
What Valerie enjoys most about using Peninsula’s services is their 24/7 advice line.
“What is excellent is that I can call anytime of the day or night and there will be an adviser available to answer my queries. If the line is busy, they will promptly call me back! Many companies don’t do that. Peninsula’s client service is pretty amazing.”
Valerie says the company owner, Richard Taché, has nothing but praise for the advice line and Peninsula’s legal assistance service. The company has used Peninsula’s legal assistance, called Peninsula Protect, and their experience has been positive.
The Peninsula Protect feature helps Peninsula clients with expert legal representation and support in case of an employment dispute or a health & safety investigation.
Signing up for Peninsula has not only helped the company access professional HR and health & safety support, but also saved them time and money, says Valerie.
“We’re paying $400 each for three locations, so that is $1200 a month. We couldn’t find someone to do this work for that amount of money.”
Valerie says she would absolutely recommend Peninsula to other businesses. “I would say businesses looking for professional HR and health & safety support, legal assistance, round-the-clock expert advice and great customer service need look no further than Peninsula.”
